Nike Total 90 Laser Soccer Cleats

Nike Total 90 is a brand of Nike sportswear and equipment first introduced in 2000, and specifically designed to be used for association football. The range of products consists mainly of shoes, shirts, and shorts, but also includes other items such as socks, shin guards, equipment bags, drink bottles, goalkeeper gloves, and balls.

The Total 90 brand name is derived from the 90 minutes traditionally played in a football match, with ‘Total’ implying that the athlete who represents the ‘Total 90′ ethos is capable if giving maximum effort at any point in the game. It is now commonly abbreviated by Nike themselves to ‘T90′.

The majority of Total 90 apparel is designed for athletic purposes and is made up of various materials that absorb sweat and transfer it to the outside of the material so it can evaporate quickly. More ventilated material is usually placed in areas more prone to sweat collecting such as the underarms and neck area.

In 2007, Nike introduced a new boot, the Nike Total 90 Laser. The boot’s main feature was the concentric rubber rings (shot-shield) on the top of the boot, which, it was claimed, improved accuracy, swerve and power. It also boasted a “E-Vent” membrane throughout the boot’s upper, which increased breathability, while blocking absorption. The boot’s marketing involved several Nike-endorsed players, including Gennaro Gattuso, Carles Puyol, Diego, Fabio Cannavaro, Torsten Frings, Wesley Sneijder, Wayne Rooney, Michael Essien, Rafael Márquez, Fernando Torres and Florent Malouda.

In April 2008, the Total 90 Laser was followed by the Total 90 Laser II. This version featured a refined “sweet spot” and reduced the area of exposed laces.

There have been seven generations of Total 90 boots, beginning with the Air Zoom Total 90, followed by Air Zoom Total 90 II, Air Zoom Total 90 III, Total 90 Supremacy, Total 90 Laser, Total 90 Laser II and, most recently, the Total 90 Laser III.

The Total 90 Laser III version is the most complex of the line of boots. It boasts 5 red silicon pods that are designed to improve the strike zone, it also comes equipped with TPU fins that are designed to enhance touch and control.

I bought these for my friend as a gift, but I didn’t want to spend much money. I was a little sketchy because these are so cheap onsale, but honestly this must be one of those great deals I was hoping for this christmas. These are really nice, and my friend is pretty much convinced I paid closer to $40 for these, so I’m really happy. I might buy a pair for myself, but I ended up buying a pair of Genuine Sheepskin Brumby’s and they are super comfy, so I’m going to stick with those for now. If you want to find a cheap pair though and don’t care about it being genuine leather and stuff you won’t be disappointed. It was a pleasant suprise and they showed up in like 2 days -super fast.

These boots are much better than they look online. They’re a really good value for the money. They look good and they feel great. Paying over $150 for Uggs that don’t even have a decent sole to them is ridiculous! Got to Walmart and get essentially the same shoe for $12. Paying over $200 for Uggs WITH an actual rugged sole on them is ridiculous! Buy these instead! For $25 you can’t beat them. They are extremely comfortable and fit well. The sole was the reason I purchased these, because shockingly there was a White Christmas in Texas this year and my Walmart version’s sole just wasn’t cutting it for walking on the snow because I couldn’t get any traction. So I decided to see what I could find with a better sole and I found these (NO WAY was I gonna pay for the same shoe at 5x the price just for a name…aka Uggs). I got them in black and will most likely try to find them in tan as well. I’m very happy with my purchase! Very good buy!
